Tactile Gemma - lyrics for the unreleased tracks
Rain
Rub in fragrant mould
Weather-gods swing the rain-whip over me
Wash me, erode me, renew me, drop beads
Thread crystalline drops on my head
Adorn the fir’s beard
Dilute the arteries
Sink down in the soil
Sniff in autumn mould
Force way through rodents’ passages
Enter their green crypts
Absorbed by the walls
Reduced to moisture
Shivering stripes of silver
Flow down the spine
The teeth chatter
Grass and pins prick
Under the feet
As from far, far below
Sheltered by the pine tree
Correctly dressed in green - as always –
And with combed beard
For the occasion
Around us is nothing
Below us is nothing
Only rainfall
Rainfall only
The sky roars and renders
The hammer strikes
The heart ruptures
The world becomes red
---
Flinged off the Globe
I was flinged off the globe
My screams fell heavily towards the ground
Accelerated, struck like lightning
Dropped dead and vibrated over you
I watched another globe from a distance
Whirling about like a merry-go-round
And the atmosphere was good
I stretched out my arm
And stole the atmosphere
Something must have gone wrong
Now I’m sleeping in the arms of… oh no no no no no!
Help me!
---
Swarm
Like hungry flies
Like swarming flies alight
Melt, become fluid
Dripping like syrup
Can you drink when fluid?
Inebriate with senses
Or illusions of senses
The blood devours the intoxication
Can you drown when fluid?
Pour me, pour you into the goblet
I’m fluid, you’re fluid
We’re interfluent
My blues with your reds
Flow flow flowing
Violet wine
Amethyst sediment
Merge merge merging
Recreating
Wrapped in one skin
To whom does this heart belong?
Entwined, merged
Heart-rending sounds when they part
To whom does this heart belong?
Can you steal something that already belongs to you?

Bereaved
The harmony of the spheres is audible to me
The thresholds of every era are open
I float through Gaia’s nerve net
I repose in her womb
I thread the paths of the Bright Orbs of Heaven
I seek to their craters to crouch inside and weep
My luminous knuckles are visible under translucent skin
But the mirror holds no image of me
The Force of Gravity do not weigh upon me
My tears do not spread circles in water
Too many white shapes tiptoe through the corridors
Their nipples bud, the blood leaves their faces
When they walk through me…
Under a waning moon
Within a circle in the dewy grass
I gently flick a bluebell to make it ring
I hum into the ear of a twinflower
My tremulous tones penetrate down through its stem, through its roots
My brother turns within the soil now
His features soften as he attentively listens…
Listens to the blue tinkle of the bell
Bereaved was I
And beyond boundaries
Still bereaved

Magic Mirror
Above me black tower-trees spear the sky
Their twiggy boughs make an arch
Their cones are bells that soundlessly accompany
The sunrays’ play on the twigs
Through the dense thatch
Few rays reach the face of the water
But at night the trees straighten their spines
And spread to let in the moonbeams
The pool becomes a magic mirror
Decorated with colourless leaves and needles
Mosquitoes and crane flies stalk the water membrane
Fungus thrives on the roots in the water’s edge
Moss grows on the floating remains of inanimate creatures
Come come come
A dun shape steps forth from the trees
Blinded by this jetty cauldron
The water is rippled only by these meagre arms
Stretching up from the water
Come come come
Do not fear the sentiment, the grip round your wrists
Do not fear when you recognize my face filmed with water
Do not fear drowning is not a painful way to die
You’ll only feel the lungs burst, then tranquillity
You’ll sink into the cold water
And the pool will again become a mirror
---
When Never Was
When horror was still only a word to me
And my fear didn’t know it existed
I brought you everywhere with me in my pocket
Hid you in my hand
Between my thighs
When lust is stillonly a word to me
And my love doesn’t know it exists
I leave my aches back at home
When I go outside I forget to bring them on purpose
And hope no one will notice that I’m euphoric
And I still don’t know who you are

Hear the Cries
Lyrics by Ann-Mari Edvardsen
The wind chants from far off
The path is marked out
You’re the chosen one
Menacing clouds pour water drop by drop
Red rivers flow through my nerve net
Nailed to a tree
My feet are joined
My hands torn apart
A crimson caftan
In blood-red tide
Salty shores cross my eyes
You see right through me
Nailed to a tree
My feet are joined
My hands torn apart
Hear the cries
